May I bring my own
caterer?
Yes. Many places require that you use a caterer from a pre-approved list. However, at the Charles Mack Citizen Center you are welcome to use whomever you choose. Never used a caterer before? We are happy to provide you a list of local caterers as well as other local vendors. Just remember, you will be held accountable for any vendor you bring into the space. Also, you MUST rent the kitchen in order to have kitchen access.
Can we use the outdoor areas?
The Kelly Courtyard and Alice's Garden are available for reservation should you want to use that space privately for your event. When those spaces are not in use, they are considered public domain and anyone may use them. If you wish to set up tables, chairs or any other structures in either of these spaces, you must reserve them.
Can I have my wedding ceremony here?
Absolutely! Each of our rooms and both the Kelly Courtyard and Alice's Garden can be transformed into a beautiful space for you and your fiance to exchange your vows.
What about parking?
There are several areas in which you may park. There is parking off of Church Street, Moore Avenue and on Main Street. Please make sure you read all signs that might indicate a parking time limit or a space reservation. The Charles Mack Citizen Center will not be held responsible in the event your car is towed. A map of parking is available online.
How much does it cost?
As the renter, you decide what space you need and how much time you need in that space. Rent is determined by how many spaces you occupyand how long you are in those spaces. While a meeting may only need a space for 3 hours, a wedding may need a space for 16 hours. Remember when reserving your spaces to include time you will need to set up and clean up.
How far in advance do I need to reserve my date?
We book one year in advance and it is a first come-first serve. We do not "hold" dates without a reservation form, 50 percent of the rental fee and the security deposit.
What is the maximum number of guests you can accommodate?
Capacity will depend on many factors. When making your reservation, please discuss what you hope to do in the space. We will be able to give you a maximum number of spaces for your guests.
What are your business hours?
Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Our office is closed on holidays. Other times are by appointment only.
How much time do I need to reserve?
When deciding on the amount of time to reserve, it is important to remember that you must reserve all the time you need to access the space. This includes time to set up and time to clean up afterwards. See Rules and Guidelines.
I have chosen the date for my event, what happens next?
